Responsibility details are not available.
This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The model comes from Eduard's modern family of Bf 109 molds; depending on the edition, the plastic is supplemented with photo-etched parts and a painting mask, and the box offers several color schemes for aircraft of the Luftwaffe and of the air forces of its allies in 1943. Check the exact contents and the number of marking options against the particular boxing.
The Bf 109G (the Gustav) was the most heavily produced line of the celebrated Messerschmitt. The G-4 version came from the G-2, was fitted with the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and differed mainly in the details of the landing gear and the equipment; unlike its sister G-3 it was not usually pressurized. It was committed on every front in 1943, among them the Eastern Front, the Mediterranean and over Italy, and a number of well-known pilots flew it.
Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Mask the glazing with the masks supplied. Spray the mottled Luftwaffe schemes (blue-gray undersides, green mottling on the sides) with an airbrush over primer; keep the soft transitions subtle. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and settle the decals on a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond the contents of the box are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
