Painting masks 1:48 Bf-109K-4 tulip pattern and national insignia from Eduard are used to spray the nose scheme and the national markings instead of using decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of self-adhesive painting masks in 1:48 scale from Eduard is die-cut from quality masking tape. Unlike ordinary canopy masks it serves to spray the striking tulip pattern on the nose and the national markings directly in paint, so the result has no glossy decal film and blends into the surface better. It is not a kit but an accessory for an eye-catching finish on a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 fighter.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 was one of the last production versions of the famous German fighter at the end of the Second World War. It brought aerodynamic refinements, a powerful engine and a number of detail changes to the airframe. Some aircraft carried the conspicuous tulip pattern on the nose as a prominent unit or personal marking.
Seat the masks exactly in place and press the edges down carefully so that no paint creeps underneath. Spray the lighter base color first, then the layer of the pattern, and take the mask off shortly after it has dried. With multi-color features work step by step and mask in stages.
