This is NOT a kit. It is a set of color pre-printed steel photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard containing the seatbelts of the pilot's seat for a model of the Messerschmitt Me 262A in 1:48 scale. Unlike brass, steel is easier to shape into the natural sag of the belts and holds the shape, so the belts look as if they were lying across the seat of their own accord. The parts are self-adhesive and finished without painting.
Seatbelts are among the features everyone notices in an open cockpit. They replace missing or simplified plastic belts and give the seat a realistic look within a few minutes. It is a quick and effective improvement.
Separate the belt with a sharp knife, shape it with tweezers into the sag you want and lay it on the seat. The self-adhesive layer usually holds; to be sure, a point can be secured with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. No painting is needed.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
