A set of resin wheels and masking film for the MiG-15 Fagot fighter in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin wheels with a faithfully shaped tread pattern and detail of the rims take the place of the simplified plastic parts, and the masking film supplied makes it easier to spray the tires and the canopy glazing cleanly.
The MiG-15 (NATO reporting name Fagot) was a Soviet jet fighter from the end of the 1940s, one of the most widespread early jet fighters of all. It was powered by a centrifugal-flow jet engine and became famous for its use in the Korean War.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin wheels and cut off the casting blocks. The advantage of resin wheels is that they can be cast with a slightly flattened contact area, which imitates the load on the tire. Stick the masks on exactly along the outline and apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not seep underneath.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
