A set of landing gear wheels for the MiG-17 jet fighter in 1:48 scale from Eduard. The set contains the main wheels and the nose wheel with faithfully rendered tires and hubs. The resin castings replace the plastic wheels of the basic kit and are intended for MiG-17 models.
The MiG-17 was a Soviet subsonic fighter which followed on from the MiG-15 and served with a number of armies around the world in the 1960s and 1970s. Wheels with a realistic tire and a suggested load are among the details that give a finished model credibility where it sits on a surface.
Separate the parts from the casting gates, clean them up and degrease them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires dark gray (not black) and set the hubs apart with a metallic or lighter shade. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is an accessory set, not a complete aircraft model. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
