A resin detail accessory in 1:48 scale from Quickboost (Aires). It is not an airplane model but a set of replacement barrels for the onboard cannon for building the MiG-17F fighter. The precise castings replace the plastic parts and raise the accuracy of the armament in the forward fuselage.
The MiG-17 (NATO reporting name Fresco) was a Soviet subsonic fighter of the 1950s, built in large numbers and widespread in many countries. The MiG-17F version had an engine with an afterburner. The cannon were mounted in the lower forward fuselage beneath the cockpit.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. It is best to fit the slender barrels at the end of the build so that they do not get damaged.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
