Eduard 1:48 MiG-21bis is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet fighter in the ProfiPACK edition. Besides the plastic, the Czech maker's package holds colored photo-etched parts and masking templates.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet supersonic fighter MiG-21bis in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It is the ProfiPACK edition, which adds colored photo-etched parts (typically the instrument panel, the seat belts and small details) and masking templates for the glazing and the wheels to the good plastic. In the box you will find decals for several color schemes. The canopy glazing is clear and thin and the cockpit is richly detailed. The combination of plastic, photo-etch and masks makes the box a complete building project with no need to buy the basic accessories.
The MiG-21bis was the last and most capable production version of the famous MiG-21 - a light supersonic fighter with a characteristic delta wing and a circular air intake with a movable shock cone. The bis version received a more powerful engine and modernized avionics and served with dozens of air forces, Czechoslovakia among them. For all its simplicity the MiG-21 was one of the most widely used jet fighters in history.
Use liquid cement for plastic applied by capillary action and dry-fit the parts. Glue the colored photo-etch with super glue only after the surrounding area has been painted. Spray a primer before painting, put a gloss coat under the decals and even the whole thing out with a matte one. The metallic shades of the nozzle and the rear fuselage come into their own on a smooth undercoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
