Eduard Brassin 1:48 MiG-21 late airbrakes is a resin set of airbrakes for the plastic model of the MiG-21 fighter in the late versions. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard is not a model of the aircraft but a detail resin accessory. It replaces the simplified airbrakes from a plastic kit with faithfully drawn resin parts, which can be shown in the extended position together with a well drawn out in detail. It tends to be filled out with small photo-etch. The set does not hold the kit of the aircraft.
The MiG-21 is a Soviet supersonic fighter, one of the most widespread jets of the Cold War. The airbrakes on the underside of the fuselage differ on the later versions in shape as well as in the detail that this set captures.
Wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent, cut them off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Open airbrakes stand out once shaded with a wash and their edges brought out.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the kit of the aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
