1:48 MiG-21 Remove Before Flight covers is a resin detail set from Quickboost with miniature plugs and covers carrying Remove Before Flight tags, which bring a parked model on an airfield apron to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
This aftermarket accessory is not a model of the aircraft but a set of small plugs and covers with the characteristic Remove Before Flight warning streamers. It serves to cover the intakes, the sensors and other openings of a parked machine. The set is intended for models of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 fighter in 1:48 scale.
The MiG-21 was a Soviet supersonic fighter, one of the most widespread jet fighters in history. It served in dozens of countries and its ground crew routinely used conspicuous red covers with streamers, so that the personnel would not forget to uncover the openings before takeoff. These details add authenticity to a diorama and to a display case.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the covers in a strong red and add fine white lettering to the streamers, or a decal. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
