The 1:48 MiG-23BN late exhaust nozzle (opened) is a resin detail set from the manufacturer Aires. It is not a model but an accessory – a faithful engine exhaust nozzle in the open position for models of the Mikoyan MiG-23BN fighter-bomber.

This product is NOT a kit but a more demanding aftermarket accessory. The set brings a detailed resin casting of the engine exhaust nozzle in its late form, shown in the open (spread) position, in 1:48 scale. Some Aires sets also have small photo-etched parts added. It replaces the simplified nozzle from the base kit with a faithful multi-part exhaust with a ring of finely rendered petals.
The afterburner nozzle is prominently in view on the MiG-23 and in plastic it tends to be shallow. The resin exhaust of this set has deep geometry, fine petals and a realistic inner profile, so it markedly raises the impression the rear of the model makes. Intended for models of the Mikoyan MiG-23BN in 1:48 scale.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Carry out the sanding with respiratory protection. It is worth shading the inside of the nozzle with metallic and heat-stained shades; dry brushing will bring out the petals.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
