This set of photo-etched parts from Eduard in 1:48 scale is used to refine the exterior surface of a plastic model of the MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter. It is not a model of the aircraft, but an accessory that is glued onto a finished kit. Exterior sets of this type usually bring intake grilles, covers, doors, sensors, stiffeners and other fine features that are missing in the plastic or only suggested.
The MiG-29 Fulcrum is a Soviet twin-engine fourth-generation frontline fighter, designed as a counterweight to Western machines. It stands out for its excellent agility, its rugged structure that can cope with operations from rougher strips and its characteristic aerodynamics with large wing roots. In its several variants it still serves with a number of air forces today.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, make the bends over a bending tool or a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with glue made for photo-etched parts. Degrease the area before gluing. It is worth holding the finer parts with tweezers. The set is better suited to more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a kit. The model of the aircraft itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
