Quickboost 1:48 MiG-29 Fulcrum pitot tubes is a resin set of fine probes that replace the thicker plastic tubes on a model of this fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Quickboost brand of the Czech maker Aires brings faithfully cast pitot tubes for a model of the Soviet and Russian MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a small detail accessory for more experienced modelers that replaces the thicker, breakable plastic parts with a slender, crisp casting. The distinctive long tube on the nose thus gets a realistic shape and thickness.
The Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum is a Soviet and later Russian twin-engine fourth-generation frontline fighter, in service from the 1980s with a number of Eastern Bloc and other air forces. It stands out for its agility and for the conspicuous long probe on its nose.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, not with cement for plastic. Try the fit dry before painting, as resin may need a little cleaning up.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model, but an accessory to a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
