A resin detail part, not an aircraft kit. This replacement nose (radome) in finely cast resin takes the place of the plastic part from the base kit and sharpens the shape of the tip of the Soviet MiG-29 fighter in 1:48 scale. The casting is ready to glue on once the casting block has been cut away.

The MiG-29 (NATO reporting name Fulcrum) is a Soviet twin-engined single-seat front-line fighter brought into service in the 1980s and valued for its agility in a turning fight. The shape of the nose with its radar strongly defines the silhouette; a more accurate radome visibly raises the fidelity of the finished model.

Usage tips

• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue
• Cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection
• Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic will not hold on resin
• Level the transition between the resin and the plastic with filler and sand it before painting
