Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masking stencils from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the MiG-21bis fighter in 1:48. The stencils are pre-cut from kabuki tape and are stuck onto the glazing and the other surfaces that are meant to stay free of paint after spraying. It is not a kit and not a model but a consumable aid for painting.
A cut mask is an exact copy of the shape of a particular part. Yet the same type of aircraft appears in different boxings and from different manufacturers with differently divided canopies, differently routed frames or slightly different windscreen geometry. A mask cut for one mold therefore need not fit another, even though it is the same aircraft in the same scale. Before buying, compare the shape of the canopy in your box with what the set is intended for.
Take the stencils with tweezers and lay them down dry, and only then press them to the edge of the engraving with a toothpick. The cockpit frame of a fighter is narrow, so even a small shift of the mask shows in the result. Spray thin coats and hold the gun at right angles. If the paint does creep under, let it dry and scrape the excess off with the point of a scalpel along the engraving rather than painting over it with a brush.
The package contains masking stencils only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
