A resin cockpit set for the Soviet MiG-25 reconnaissance bomber in the RB and RBT versions in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer ResKit. This is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory that replaces the out-of-box cockpit with a faithfully cast resin one - a tub, an instrument panel, side consoles and a seat with rich detail. According to the manufacturer it is intended for the ICM kit.
A resin cockpit markedly lifts the detail of the most visible part of the model. The castings have crisp engraving, three-dimensional instruments and fine controls that injection-molded plastic cannot reach.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent and cut them from the casting blocks; when sanding, protect your airways with a respirator. Glue them with cyanoacrylate. Paint the cockpit and bring it out with a wash before you close the fuselage - a small adjustment for an exact fit is often needed.
This is a detail accessory for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
