An ejection seat for a model of the MiG-15 in 1:48 scale as a replacement for the part from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-15 is a Soviet single-seat fighter aircraft with a swept wing, one of the most widespread machines of the postwar air forces. Its cockpit is fairly small, so the seat takes up most of the space in it and there is a good view of it through a pushed-back canopy. That is exactly why it is the part on which it is decided whether a cockpit looks convincing.
This is a finished replacement part in 1:48 scale, that is, an ejection seat intended to go in place of the part from the kit. Against a part out of a mold it offers sharper edges, finer shaping and details that transfer into plastic with difficulty. The material is not polystyrene, and therefore it is glued with super glue; ordinary cement for plastic models does not work here. The exact number of parts in the package and the kit the seat is dimensioned for are stated in the instructions from the manufacturer.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so as not to sand the detail away. Try seating the seat into the cockpit dry before gluing, so that it is clear how much room is left. Wash and degrease the part before painting and use a base coat; without it the paint holds poorly on the smooth surface and rubs off during handling.
For modelers who are building the MiG-15 with the canopy of the cockpit pushed back and want to raise the level of the most visible part of the interior. The model, paints, glue and seatbelts are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
