The Mil Mi-8MT is a modernized version of the successful medium multi-purpose Mi-8 helicopter. It was given more powerful engines of the TV3-117 series, and its recognition feature is the tail rotor moved to the left side of the boom. The machine is used to carry people and cargo, and in its export configuration it is known under the designation Mi-17. Thanks to its rugged design and undemanding operation it is among the most widespread helicopters in its category.
Do not varnish the printed panel, as it is supplied finished. You bring out the instrument glasses with a drop of gloss varnish or super glue applied directly onto the dial. The cockpit of a helicopter tends to be very well visible once finished, because the glazing is extensive, so it pays to spend time on seating the parts as well as on gluing them. Assemble the whole interior dry first and check that the fuselage closes without pressure.
