This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the French Mirage 2000 multi-role aircraft in the B, D and N versions. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine supersonic multi-role aircraft with a delta wing. The B version is the two-seat trainer, the D version a two-seat tactical strike machine for use against ground targets and the N version a two-seat carrier of strategic armament. All three versions share a two-seat cockpit with a lengthened canopy, which differs in masking from the single-seat variants.
Degrease the glazing of the two-seat canopy. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frames of the windscreen and of the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
