The Aires Mirage 2000C/B/D/N exhaust nozzle in the open position is a resin detail set in 1:48 scale. A resin nozzle accessory for the plastic kit of the French fighter, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale replacing the exhaust nozzle of the plastic kit of the Dassault Mirage 2000 (the C, B, D and N versions). The nozzle is cast in the open position and brings accurate relief inside and out, with fine petals that injection-molded plastic can hardly capture. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine multirole fighter with a delta wing, built by Dassault. It is powered by a SNECMA M53 turbojet with afterburner. The versions differ in role: the 2000C is a single-seat fighter, the 2000B a two-seat trainer, and the 2000D and 2000N are strike variants. The open position of the nozzle matches an aircraft on the ground with the engine shut down or at idle.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent and separate them carefully from the casting blocks. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and resin should be sanded with your airways protected. The nozzle is usually painted in metallic and heat-stressed shades; finish it off with pigments and a wash to suggest scaling and scorching.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
