This is not an airplane kit but a Big Sin combined set of add-ons from Eduard for the plastic model of the Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero version 21 in 1:48 scale. It brings together in one package several sets that are also sold separately, namely Brassin resin parts and photo-etched elements. The ESSENTIAL designation means the basic coverage of the key details.
The set concentrates on the most visible places on the model: the cockpit area, the landing gear legs and bays, the wheels and the exhausts. The resin castings replace the plastic parts from the box and add a fineness that injection-molded plastic cannot reach. The exact make-up of the individual sets follows the manufacturer's catalog.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a cutter and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bend the photo-etched parts over a metal edge. Sand resin with respiratory protection. We recommend a dry test fit before gluing.
This is an add-on set, not a model in its own right. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
