Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero, Zeke in the Allied code, in 1:48 scale from Tamiya. It is a proven kit with good fit and a clear breakdown of parts, suitable even for less experienced modelers. The A6M5c version (Type 52 Hei) is a late, heavily armed variant. The box holds decals for period Japanese machines.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero (Reisen in Japanese) was the main carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War. In the early years it excelled in ceiling, agility and long range. The A6M5c version from the late war strengthened the armament and armor at the expense of agility, so that the machine could hold its own against ever more capable Allied fighters. The Zero became one of the best known aircraft of the war in the Pacific.
Finish and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, mask the glazing and glue it with canopy glue. An airbrush and a light primer suit the late Japanese scheme of dark green over a light underside; chipped paint can be created with the chipping fluid technique or with thin brushwork. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash, and finish the engine and landing gear with small details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
