Color 3D interior elements for the Japanese Mitsubishi F-1 aircraft in 1:48 scale, prepared for the Hasegawa kit. They go on from water like a decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi F-1 was a Japanese single-seat combat aircraft derived from the two-seat T-2 trainer. It served with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and was among the first combat aircraft of postwar Japanese design. Its cockpit is clearly visible under the sliding canopy, so the interior of a model is worth attention.
Color 3D elements for the cockpit. The instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and the other surfaces are printed with relief and painted, dial faces and labels included, so they do away with the slow job of picking out details with a brush.
The elements are printed on a decal backing paper and are applied like a decal. Cut the part from the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and then slide it off the paper into place. The element has no adhesive layer of its own, so it holds reliably only on a gloss clear coat, that is on Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22. Press it down with a soft tool from the center toward the edges, and on broken-up surfaces press the element into the recesses first and help it with a drop of super glue. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin.
For modelers who want the cockpit finished quickly and still readable under an open canopy. The work is fine, so smooth-jawed tweezers and good light help. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
