A resin, 3D-printed detail set, not a model of the aircraft. It replaces the cockpit seat with a faithfully executed Martin-Baker Mk.4 ejection seat, with fine detail of the shell, the firing handles and the straps. It markedly lifts the interior of this British fighter.
The BAC Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor with the characteristic arrangement of two engines stacked one above the other and outstanding rate of climb. The Martin-Baker Mk.4 ejection seat was a British ejection system used in the 1950s and 1960s on a number of jet types.
Wash the parts clean of uncured print resin, cut off the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray a primer and the base shade, bring out the handles and the straps separately; a fine wash will deepen the detail.
The set holds the resin seat only. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
