This is a resin detail set from the Eduard Brassin line in 1:48 scale. It contains six American Mk.82 aircraft bombs (the low-drag 500-pound bomb). It is not a kit of an aircraft in its own right, but an accessory for underwing stores. Each bomb is made up of a main body and a separately cast tail with fins; the set is rounded out by decals with stenciling and technical markings, and a choice of different fuzes is provided.
The Mk.82 is one of the most widespread Western aircraft bombs, carried by a whole range of combat aircraft from the 1960s to the present day. You use the set to hang a faithful weapons load on models of combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.
First wash the mold release agent off the resin parts with warm soapy water. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A gloss base is worth laying down before applying the decals.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
