A detail set, Morane-Saulnier MS.406C1 SPACE, in 1:48 scale from Eduard — a combination of a colored 3D decal and steel photo-etched parts (straps and instrument panels). It is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail SPACE set from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model, but a combined set that pairs a colored 3D decal (the main and side instrument and control panels) with painted steel photo-etched parts — chiefly the safety harnesses and fine cockpit details. The SPACE line thus combines the sculpted depth and color accuracy of a 3D decal with the sharpness of metal etched parts. The set is prepared for the MS.406 kit (by Dora Wings).
The Morane-Saulnier MS.406 was France's main fighter aircraft at the start of the Second World War. In the fighting of 1940 it formed the backbone of the French fighter force; although it was outperformed by newer opponents, it was built in large numbers and also served with other operators.
3D decals have no adhesive layer of their own: dampen only the backing paper with a moist sponge and a drop of dish soap, lift the element off with tweezers and fix it with white (PVA) glue — the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue for the decals. Do not use a decal softener; its chemistry will damage the printed resin. Paint the cockpit surfaces a dark color beforehand. Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, shape them with tweezers and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue.
A detail set, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
