Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement oil cooler for a model of the Japanese fighter Nakajima Ki-27 in 1:48 scale. It is a finished replacement part that takes the place of the corresponding part from the kit. It is precisely with coolers that a replacement pays off most: the shape tends to be complex, the walls are meant to be thin, and in plastic that is hard to do at this scale.
The Ki-27 was a Japanese single-seat fighter of the late 1930s, known to the Allies under the code name Nate. You recognize it by its fixed, non-retractable landing gear with wheel spats and by its radial engine. It bet on low weight and exceptional agility, which it paid for with weak armament and almost no protection for the pilot. It was deployed in the fighting on the Asian mainland and in the opening phase of the Pacific War, where more modern machines gradually replaced it.
It suits builders who are finishing the forward fuselage on a Ki-27 model and do not want to spend evenings sanding a plastic part down. Given its extent it is a quick modification with a clearly visible result. Which kit the part is cut for is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The replacement part is supplied. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
