An empty seat gives a model away at first glance. Seat belts are the first thing a viewer sees in an open cabin, and at the same time the thing an injection-molded kit most often merely suggests or leaves out. This set brings photo-etched seat belts for a model of the OV-10 Bronco in 1:48 scale. The STEEL designation in the name says that they are etched from steel; steel sheet holds a folded shape, so a belt can be bent over and left to drape freely over the edge of the seat instead of sticking out like a little plate.

Glue the belts into the cabin before you close the fuselage; afterwards you cannot reach the seat. Cut the parts off with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by tearing them out, or the edge will bend. Shape them around a round handle or over the edge of tweezers, so that the transition comes out smoothly and the belt does not look broken. Apply cyanoacrylate glue in a minute amount. Before painting, wash the metal, degrease it and go over it with primer, otherwise the coat comes off during handling.
