A nose with a camera for the Bristol Beaufighter in 1:48. A replacement front fuselage section from RESArm for building a machine with photographic equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory replaces the front fuselage section of the British Beaufighter with a part that, according to the name, has room for a camera. The scale is 1:48. Alongside this variant the brand also offers a nose in the basic form, so you can choose according to which aircraft you want to depict. The rest of the airframe stays unchanged.
Combat aircraft carried photographic equipment for documenting attacks and for reconnaissance; on twin-engine machines the camera fitted into exactly this front fuselage section. For a modeler it is a rewarding detail, because it sets one particular aircraft apart from an ordinary production machine without your having to change the rest of the build. At the same time it makes sense of a scene in which the machine is returning from a mission.
First mark the exact cutting line on the fuselage and cut the original tip off with some margin. Level the mating surfaces on abrasive paper and glue the joint with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect the opening for the lens with a piece of putty while filling, so that it does not get clogged and stays crisp. Only once the filler has cured should you go on to sand to the final shape.
This is a replacement part to be built into a model of your own; paints are not included.
