Oil and fuel set 1:48 from the Czech maker Brengun is a diorama accessory to a model you already have built; it is not an airplane or vehicle kit. It completes a scene with oil and fuel containers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is intended for modelers who are building a diorama or a vignette around a finished model in 1:48 scale. On its own it represents no machine: you are buying it as scene equipment, that is as the small working containers that lay around literally everywhere at an airfield, in a workshop or at a field post. It is made by Brengun of the Czech Republic, which has long devoted itself to accessories for modelers.
An empty base under a model looks sterile and takes credibility away from the result. Yet a few containers by the landing gear, by a hangar wall or on the bed of a vehicle are enough and the scene immediately gains both scale and a story: a viewer subconsciously compares the size of a drum with the size of the machine. Aftermarket accessories also have sharper shapes and thinner walls than improvisations from ordinary plastic, so they stand up even in a close-up photograph.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry thoroughly; the paint then holds considerably better. A thin coat of primer follows, then the base shade from an airbrush and only after that the weathering. On containers for working fluids, a combination of a dark wash run into the engraving, a fine rub of the edges with a dry brush and a few running oil stains around the caps looks good. Go sparingly with rust and chipped paint: an over-weathered accessory overpowers the model itself.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
