1:48 OV-1 D Mohawk engine from Black Dog works up one engine nacelle of the American OV-1 Mohawk observation aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item deals with one of the engine nacelles of the Mohawk observation aircraft. It is glued into an aircraft under construction in 1:48 scale and replaces the place where a plastic kit stops at a smooth cover. The result is a view inside the nacelle that draws the eye at once on a finished model. The set is made by Black Dog.
The Grumman OV-1 Mohawk flew with the US Army as a reconnaissance and observation machine with a crew of two, a pair of turboprop engines and a striking triple tail. The D version carried a side-looking radar for scanning the terrain and infrared equipment for work at night. The cockpit was glazed downward as well, so that the crew could see what was going on beneath the aircraft. The engine nacelles are what dominates it visually.
Measure the opening out with a pencil, mark it with a light cut and only then start taking material away. Level the edges with a file and keep checking the surface against the light. Attach the small components with super glue and give yourself time for the fit, because setting the nacelle at the right angle decides the result more than the amount of paint does.
You obtain the Mohawk kit and the materials for finishing it separately.
