A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the barrels of the concentrated armament with finely rendered resin parts. This is not an aircraft model but a stand-alone accessory that raises the fidelity of the nose section.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter of the Second World War with a distinctive twin-boom layout. Its gun armament was concentrated in the nose of the central nacelle, which made aiming easier.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. A suitable steel shade will bring out the metallic look.
