Eduard 1:48 P-38F/G masking set in self-adhesive kabuki tape for painting the extensive glazing of the Lightning fighter cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks in Japanese kabuki tape from the Czech firm Eduard, intended for a model of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighter in the F and G versions in 1:48 scale. The Lightning has intricate cockpit glazing with a number of frames, and that is exactly where ready-made masks save the most work and guarantee sharp edges with no paint running underneath. It is an accessory for painting, not a kit.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter of the Second World War with the unmistakable twin-boom layout and a central nacelle for the pilot. The F and G versions fought from 1942 in North Africa, Europe and the Pacific, where the type stood out for its range and its performance at altitude.
Degrease the clear parts before masking, transfer the masks with tweezers and press the edges down carefully. On intricate glazing, work from the largest areas toward the small frames. Spray the interior color first and then the camouflage shade, so that the frames are correctly dark from within. Lift the masks shortly after the paint has dried, pulling them at a shallow angle.
This is an accessory: a kit of the aircraft is not included in the package. Please check compatibility with your own kit.
