The P-39N Airacobra cockpit mask from outside and inside covers the glazing and the frames from both sides, including the inner surface of the side doors.

The double-sided form deals with what strikes the eye most on this aircraft: the inner side of the doors. They are usually visible on a model, whether open or through the glazing, and a translucent frame is noticed at once. The set therefore contains, besides the outer pieces, those for the inner surface as well. In a photograph of a model from the side that difference is the most apparent.
Most Airacobras flew on the eastern front. Soviet pilots found them suitable precisely low and at medium altitude, where the fights over the front line were fought, and they appreciated the robust structure and the firepower. Some of the most successful fighter pilots of the Soviet Air Force flew hundreds of combat sorties in it. American units used it mainly in the Pacific and over North Africa, predominantly for attacks on ground targets.
Fit the inner stencils before you adjust the doors in any way, while they lie flat. Spray them in the interior shade you use in the cockpit and let them dry thoroughly. Only then line the pieces up with the fuselage. Anyone who skips this step finishes the frame with a brush over a completed finish and it tends to show. Pair the inner and the outer piece of the same window beforehand, because the shapes differ only by a slight overhang.
