LööKplus is a range from the Czech maker Eduard of Obrnice near Most in which a LööK set, that is a ready-made color instrument panel with seat belts, is brought together in one package with further detail parts for the same type of aircraft. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model you build from a kit of other origin. The appeal of this range lies in the fact that the maker does a large part of the work of painting small details for you. The particular make-up of the package is not stated here: various combinations appear in the range, so check the contents before buying. Which kit the set is cut for is not stated here either, so please check the fit with the model you are building in advance.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusual layout: the engine was placed behind the pilot in the middle of the fuselage and drove the propeller through a long shaft running under the cockpit. The P-39Q version was the most numerously built variant and differed above all in the arrangement of the armament in the wing. A large part of the production was taken over by the Soviet Union, where the aircraft found its use at lower altitudes, which suited its characteristics. Entry to the cockpit was by car-type doors on the sides, which matters for modeling work on the interior: the cockpit is clearly visible even when it is closed.
Do not sand the color printed instrument panel or the belts and do not overspray them with clear varnishes that might damage the print. Dry-fit the surfaces of the parts the set goes onto: the relief molded into the kit usually has to be removed, so that the replacement part sits down in the original plane. Shape the belts over a rounded tool, so that they look loose and not like metal tape. Glue with cyanoacrylate in a minimal amount applied with the tip of a toothpick. Finish and weather the cockpit before you close the fuselage halves, and fit the clear parts at the very end.
This is an add-on set, not a kit of an aircraft. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
