A decal sheet for the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale, listed as the first part of the series. With fighters, the finish and the markings are what turn a model of identical shape into one particular aircraft: two kits from the same box look completely different once different decals have been applied. Which particular aircraft the sheet covers is stated by the manufacturer.
The P-40 was a single-engine fighter that reached most of the fronts of the Second World War and served with Allied air arms alongside American units. Its distinguishing feature is the deep cooling duct under the nose, onto which striking unit markings were often painted as well. That is exactly why the P-40 is a rewarding subject for decal sheets.
Check in the manufacturer's instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version. With ordinary sheets the wet method is the usual one, but a self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined beyond repair, whereas a wet decal can be soaked later as well. The kit of the aircraft, paints, varnish and decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
