Eduard LööK 1:48 P-400 brings a resin instrument panel with finished dials and pre-painted steel seat belts for the cockpit of a P-400 fighter model. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The LööK accessory set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended to improve the cockpit of a P-400 fighter model in 1:48 scale. It contains an instrument panel cast in resin, whose dials are rendered in color at the factory, and pre-printed steel seat belts. The set does not replace a kit: it assumes that you already have the aircraft model or are getting it at the same time.
The P-400 designation was carried by Bell Airacobra fighters built to an export specification for British orders. The British were not satisfied with the type, so most of the machines were taken over by the US Army Air Forces and deployed in the South West Pacific. The Airacobra had an unusual layout for its day: the engine behind the pilot, a drive shaft running under the cockpit floor, a nose wheel and side doors instead of a sliding canopy. The cockpit is therefore clearly visible on a model and repays the attention.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry thoroughly, otherwise neither paint nor glue holds. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw and level the surface with abrasive paper; work with respiratory protection, as resin dust should not be inhaled. Both the panel and the belts are bonded with super glue; cement for plastic will not join these materials. Before gluing the steel belts in, curve them over a round object so that they look like fabric, and fasten them only after the panel is in place. Always a dry fit first, and only then glue.
An accessory set, not a model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
