A resin P-40E Warhawk engine in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. A detail accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin engine cast in detail for a model of the Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory that will let a model be displayed with the cowling open and the powerplant exposed, not a model of the aircraft. The parts carry fine texture of the cylinders and the ancillaries of a kind that injection-molded plastic usually does not offer.
The P-40E Warhawk was an American fighter of the Second World War powered by the Allison V-1710 V12 engine. The engine with its characteristic tapered nose and the radiator under the fuselage gave the aircraft its typical silhouette.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. The engine comes into its own once the metallic shades are painted and it is picked out with a wash. Do the sanding with respiratory protection and check the fit into the fuselage before gluing.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
