A color 3D interior decal from Quinta Studio in 1:48 scale, intended for models of the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter in its early version. The detail is printed in resin on backing decal paper, has raised relief and full color and is transferred by the wet method. It is not photo-etch and not resin castings.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the most massive single-seat fighters of the Second World War. The early versions had a conventional fuselage spine behind the canopy and were powered by a powerful Pratt & Whitney radial engine. The Thunderbolt made its name both as an escort fighter and as a feared ground-attack machine.
Cut the part from the sheet, leave it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the backing paper onto a clean cockpit surface. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, with which you should coat the panel and the consoles beforehand; on broken-up spots a drop of super glue helps. Do not use decal softener, it attacks the printed resin.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
