An injection-molded plastic kit of the American fighter aircraft Republic P-47D Thunderbolt in 1:48 scale from the Hobby Boss brand. The model belongs to the simplified easy-build range with a smaller number of parts, yet it still offers an engraved panel structure, a detailed cockpit and a clear canopy. It is therefore suitable for beginning modelers as well.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the heaviest and most rugged single-engine fighters of the Second World War. The P-47D version was the most numerous variant and proved itself as a fighter as well as a fighter-bomber in attacks on ground targets. Thanks to its massive radial engine and heavy armament it earned a reputation as a tough combat aircraft.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic; thanks to the smaller number of parts the build is quick. Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. The natural metal surface as well as olive green camouflage schemes will stand out with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
