A set of photo-etched parts for a model of the P-51D Mustang fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. An accessory for a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The P-51D is the most widespread version of the American single-engine fighter aircraft Mustang of the Second World War. You can tell it by the bubble cockpit canopy and the cut-down fuselage spine, which give the pilot a view to the rear as well. The Mustang escorted bomber formations over long distances and after the war it went on serving with a number of countries, so it comes in an enormous range of finishes and personal markings.
Photo-etched parts for a P-51D model in 1:48 scale. Photo-etch is made by etching a shape out of thin sheet metal, so it looks convincing everywhere the material should appear thin and where a plastic part necessarily comes out thicker. Which elements the set contains and where they belong is shown by the manufacturer's instructions; from them you will also learn what needs to be modified on the kit before fitting.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, as nippers bend the edge. Make the bends along the marked grooves, best in a bending tool or between two straight edges, and in a single attempt. They are glued with cyanoacrylate applied in a really small amount, best with a pin. Before painting, degrease the sheet metal parts and spray a primer, without which paint holds poorly on smooth metal.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery unless stated otherwise.
