Exhausts for the P-51D Mustang, type B, 1:48 (Quickboost) is a resin aviation accessory in 1:48 scale from the maker Quickboost. It is not a model of the airplane but a detail part. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin exhaust manifolds in the type B pattern for the American North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part with drilled-out exhaust mouths, which will replace the flat or blanked plastic exhausts from the base kit, not a model of the airplane.
The North American P-51D Mustang was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War with the Packard V-1650 V12 engine, a license-built version of the Rolls-Royce Merlin. It became renowned for the long range of escort fighters over Europe. The V12 engine gave the aircraft side exhaust manifolds, among which small variations in shape occurred.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The exhausts come into their own once they are painted in dark metallic and rusty shades; because this is the type B pattern, we recommend checking the shape and the fit dry before gluing.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
