Engines for the P-61 Black Widow 1:48 (Quickboost) is a resin aviation accessory in 1:48 scale from the maker Quickboost. It is not an aircraft model but a detail part. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cast resin radial engines for the American Northrop P-61 Black Widow night fighter in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part for the engine nacelles that replaces the simplified plastic engines from a base kit, not a stand-alone aircraft model.
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was an American twin-engine, twin-boom night fighter of the Second World War and the first American aircraft designed from the outset for night combat with an onboard radar. It was powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The cylinders of the engines come into their own once painted in metallic shades and gone over with a dry brush; before the nacelles are closed, check the seating depth dry.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
