The Quinta Studio 1:48 3D interior decal for the P-63C/E Kingcobra offers color raised cockpit detail of the fighter on backing decal paper, applied by the wet method.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of color 3D decals from Quinta Studio refines the cockpit of the American fighter. The detail is printed on backing decal paper, has real depth and color and is applied by the wet method, without photo-etch and without painting.
The Bell P-63 Kingcobra was an American fighter following on from the P-39 Airacobra, with the engine placed behind the pilot and with nose landing gear. In the C and E versions it served above all with the Soviet Air Force. The prominent cockpit is one of the characteristic features of the model.
The part is cut from the sheet, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type; on broken-up surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The set shows to best advantage with the canopy open.
This is an aftermarket accessory (a 3D decal), not a kit. The model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
