The Eduard 1:48 Panavia Tornado IDS LööK is an add-on set from the LööK line with a color instrument panel and seat belts for a model of the European combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.

This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft. The LööK line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard of Obrnice near Most combines a finished color instrument panel with seat belts, so the customer gets the most visible part of the cockpit in a single package and without assembling tiny photo-etched pieces. The panel replaces the plastic part from the kit and the belts are added to the seat. On a two-seat aircraft such as the Tornado the interior is clearly visible with the canopies open, so the difference shows strongly.
The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine combat aircraft developed jointly by several European countries. It has a variable-geometry wing that allows both a slow takeoff and fast flight at low level, and a two-seat cockpit with the pilot and the systems operator seated one behind the other. The IDS designation corresponds to the strike and reconnaissance version optimized for flying close to the ground; other specialized variants grew from the same basis.
A panel from this line is usually not painted: repainting it would lose the fine printing of the instruments. The original plastic part generally has to be removed or sanded away; test dry and take the material off little by little. Bond with a small amount of super glue; on printed parts a drop of gloss varnish also works well and leaves no white bloom. Leave the belts slightly slack and draped over the edge of the seat, as taut ones look unnatural. Finish both cockpits at once so that the shades do not differ, and only then close up the fuselage.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
