A decal sheet with Polish national insignia for the period between the world wars, 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Polish national insignia takes the form of a checkerboard made up of four alternating white and red squares. On the aircraft of the interwar period it was carried on the wings and on the fuselage, and it is one of the most conspicuous recognition features of the machines of that time, because its shape stands apart from the roundels of most other countries.
The sheet carries Polish national insignia in 1:48 scale for the span of years given in the name, that is for interwar machines. It can be used on any model of the matching period and size, as the decals are not tied to a single kit.
These are classic wet decals. First overcoat the area they are going onto with a gloss varnish, otherwise silvery patches will appear under the decal. Dip the trimmed decal in lukewarm water for a few seconds, let it rest until it can be slid off the backing paper, and slide it into place. A softener settles it into the relief of the surface, but it must not be moved until it has dried. Finally overcoat the area with a matte varnish so that the gloss disappears and the edge of the decal is lost. The particular instructions from the manufacturer are given on the packaging.
The sheet suits modelers who build Polish machines of the interwar period or who want to replace damaged insignia from the original kit. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
