A figure of a member of the National Security Corps in the vz. 67 uniform in the olive finish, in the form it had in 1987, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SNB, the National Security Corps, was an armed security corps that carried out police tasks in Czechoslovakia. Its members wore the vz. 67 uniform; this figure captures its olive finish as it looked in 1987. For a period scene it is a rewarding element, because the uniform is recognizable at first glance and sets the scene in its time at once.
One figure in 1:48 scale. A figure matching a person around 175 centimeters tall measures roughly 3.6 centimeters in this scale, so it is a tiny but clearly readable addition to a scene. The range of parts and the way of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap, let it dry and apply a thin primer; without it the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Paint the uniform with an olive shade, put a darker wash into the folds and highlight the edges with a lighter tone applied once dry with an almost dry brush. Leave the face and the hands until the end and work with the finest brush possible. Choose the way of gluing according to the material of the figure: parts that are not of polystyrene hold reliably with cyanoacrylate glue.
The figure suits dioramas from the 1980s and models of period vehicles in 1:48 scale. A figure beside a model moreover gives the viewer a scale that the machine alone never shows so well. The package contains only the figure; paints, glue and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
