PV-1 Ventura - engines 1:48 (Aires/Quickboost)

A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. The set brings radial engines cast in detail for the American Lockheed PV-1 Ventura patrol bomber in 1:48 scale.

What the set offers

The castings faithfully capture the radial engines of the twin-engine Ventura with their cylinders and the ignition harness. Engines rendered in detail show well in the engine nacelles and with the cowling open, and they lift the level of detail above the parts from the box.

Tips for working with resin

  • First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue
  • Cut the casting blocks off with a saw; do not snap them off
  • Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); plastic cement does not hold on resin
  • Protect your airways while sanding and do not breathe in the resin dust

This is a resin detail set, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.

No. This is a resin detail set with engines. The base Ventura model has to be bought separately.

The set is intended for the twin-engine Ventura, so for both of its radial engines.

Cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) only. Ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin.
