Reskit 1:48 Rafael Python 3 (4 pcs) is a resin set of four Israeli short-range air-to-air guided missiles. It is add-on armament for an aircraft model, not the model itself.

This set from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit holds four Python 3 air-to-air guided missiles in 1:48 scale, made in resin. It is an aftermarket armament accessory, that is parts with which the weapons supplied in a kit are supplemented or replaced. A model of the aircraft is not included. A resin casting allows finer rendering of the fins, the seeker head and the surface detail than ordinary injection-molded plastic can give.
The Python 3 is an Israeli short-range air-to-air guided missile with infrared guidance, developed by Rafael. It entered service in the late 1970s and replaced the earlier Shafrir 2. Compared with its predecessor it offered wider launch angles and a better ability to lock onto a target off the flight axis, which at the time was a substantial change in air combat tactics. The missile is carried on the wingtips and on underwing pylons, and besides the Israeli Air Force (IAF) it was used by other countries that obtained it through export. A development line of further missiles from the same maker followed it.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surface carefully, protecting your airways as you do. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, that is super glue. The thin fins are fragile, so handle the parts with tweezers. Lay down a primer before painting. The missiles are usually sprayed separately from the aircraft and fitted to the model last, so that they do not get damaged in handling; the color bands denoting the type of warhead and the stencils go on only once the covering coat has dried.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
