A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. The set of finely cast resin replaces the landing gear doors of the French single-seat multirole Dassault Rafale C fighter in 1:48 scale. The resin doors have thinner edges and a more finely rendered inner structure than the thicker parts from the box. The part is meant for modelers who want to bring the landing gear bays to a realistic look.
On a model with the landing gear extended, the open doors and their inner faces are clearly visible. Thin resin doors look more convincing in scale, and the fine details on the inner face come alive after painting and a light patina. The model gains realism exactly where the viewer tends to look.
