The Kits-World 3D color instrument panel for the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 1:48 is a relief color decal for the cabin; this variant is cut for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for the pilot's area, not a kit. The instrument panel is printed in full color on decal paper and carries a raised relief, which gives the dials and bezels real depth. Kits-World carries this motif in two guises according to the maker of the target kit — this is the version for the Tamiya kit. Because the two versions differ precisely in being cut for a different shape of cabin, they are not interchangeable with each other.
The P-47D was the most widespread variant of the Thunderbolt, a single-engine fighter aircraft with a radial engine and a turbocharger in the rear part of the fuselage. The version was built both with a framed canopy and with a bubble cabin; with the latter the view of the instrument panel is substantially more open and the detail pays off in 1:48 scale.
What decides most is the seating while the decal is still wet. Leave a thin film of water under it, on which the panel can be moved exactly into the frame of the cabin — once dry you will not move it, and forcing it will tear the relief. Use a damp soft brush for the fine moving, not tweezers. Soak the surplus water away with the corner of a towel and leave the item in peace to dry; do not touch it until then.
It is a modeling accessory. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
